Launching AMD FirePro V4900 professional graphics card :
AMD today launched a new professional graphics card in the form of FirePro V4900. Designed for Digital Content Creation (DCC) and Computer Aided Design (CAD) professionals, the FirePro V4900 is an entry-level card yet delivers amazing performance. It also offer AMD Eyefinity technology which support up to six displays.
The GPU has 480 stream processors and 1GB of 128-bit GDDR5 RAM with memory bandwidth of 64 GB/s5, allowing rapid data access. Furthermore, the card supports Microsoft DirectX 11, OpenGL 4.2 and OpenCL.
I/O options include DisplayPort 1.2 and Dual-link DVI.
The AMD FirePro V4900 will be available in select Dell and Fujitsu systems and HP workstations. It is also available on standalone basis for $189.
